RE: NiZn battery question
Okay, here's the deal on the new NiZn batteries. As many of you know, I stay up on the battery technology....mainly because I get bored. Asnyway, they are a higher voltage, 1.6 as has been stated above. The voltage issue alone makes them not a good candidate for transmitter packs. 8 x 1.6 = 12.8 volts! You might as well run a 3 cell lipo (which you should not do in any Spektrum xmitter. Also, 1.6v is the NOMINAL voltage, so they will peak even higher!
The next, last, and worst thing is.....their capacity sucks. To try and cover this, they try using MWh instead of MAh. Do not be fooled.
So far, the Eneloops and Hybrind Nimh are still the best option.
