Okay, here's the deal on the new NiZn batteries. As many of you know, I stay up on the battery technology....mainly because I get bored. Anyway, they are a higher voltage, 1.6 as has been stated above. The voltage issue alone makes them not a good candidate for transmitter packs. 8 x 1.6 = 12.8 volts! . . .<whack>
From a non RC perspective, there
are some consumer electronics applications that use throwaway AA batteries (1.5V) where these cells could be ideal as their higher cell voltage might not be an issue.
