But if the tail was slipping wouldn't that make the uncontrolled spins go in the same direction that the blades are spinning? I thought that since the spins were in complete opposite directions that would be a sure assurance that my tail was holding solid, if not too much. I know i am a complete noob at this so please correct me if i'm wrong.
Newton: For every action there is an equal and OPPOSITE reaction.
In other words, the heli wants to spin in the OPPOSITE direction that the blades are spinning. This is what the tail is trying to counter.
My guesses: You need either 1. more gyro gain or 2. more head speed.
Slipping or not enough servo throw are possibilities also. Check the atv adjustment on the 401. Make sure the servo travels as far as it can without binding in both directions.
