One of my JTec bolts has ended up stripping the thread inside the head, for what reason I am not sure but I have a strong view that it was because I left out the gasket and only used the red silicone, hence the expansion contraction differential had no tolerance in compression when the engine warmed up. What's the best solution to fixing the problem?
All i use is the red flavor of high temp silicone also and never striped, you may be tighten the bolts too much. I never use a gasket on the exaust. Go purchase yourself a heli coil and drill the stripped one out and installe the heli coil.
I love the Jtec pitts-the 89.00 dollar one works great for me 7600 Rpm with a Vess 22B.
