The resolution of the radio basically will tell you how sensitive it is. Servos can only travel a given amount, (I think it's about 270°, but don't quote me). The resolution of a radio is basically how many points that travel range is divided in to. For instance, a radio with resolution of 1024 will divide that travel into 1024 points. The high the resolution the more points it divides into, giving more accurate servo positioning. Your servos will also be more sensitive to minor stick adjustments with a higher resolution.

Boiled down, the higher the resolution the better the radio is going to be.
