I have flown mine with a small piece of tape at the back of the canopy top. BUT...I have more flights on it without.....and its most aggresive 3d crazy flights were with out any tape. I have not had to make the walk of shame to look for it yet.
My airplane is bone stock per the manual....with an .81 4 stroke.
