Default RE: What is the best A-10?

MIBO...latest version 4 plus the Farm Cat modifications! This A-10 is just right!! BIG yes, a little heavy yep..But it flies like a BIG PUPPY. Lands here at altitude at a walk with full flair / pitch control. Light touch downs are a given. Egil (Eggs) is the owner (left) / pilot pictured with Jerry (center) & Ryan (right)..builder / painter. Maybe a little big & heavy for two P-80's but it would fly safely!

Jerry did the build witch includes many modifications for the two Jet Cat P-200's. Yep, I said Jet Cat P-200's..but hold on the power is just right!! Yes, it will climb out straight up for a long time...but normal flight only requires about 1/2 power. Extra power is what this big A-10 needs. This model flies just like the real one's and there is always extra power for those short takeoffs / power climbs and just the extra power we all wish for!

I've seen far too many A-10's of all sizes always seem to be under powered even if slightly. this one's not! Split / dual Tam smoke system. The Jet Cat’s start and run in tandem flawlessly! The RPM's stay in-sink at all times. One big roar with both @ full power. The landing gear has been custom machined for the higher all up weight. which is right at the 75 lb mark. All up weight was adjusted by limiting fuel load / tank configuration.

The scale detail of this version 4 MIBO is complete! As you can see not much left to the imagination. Egil is very proud of his A-10 as he well should be. Next week Egil will bring his A-10 in under the AMA Experimental Permit to Fly regulations.. Ready for AMA events.

I have been fortunate enough to witness the build process and several of the first test flights.
