You can check to see if they are mixed up for sure with coninuity tester. One of the blacks is directly hooked to one of the reds. It cannot be the same plug, it must be two different plugs. They are quite easy to change if they are indeed switched. Two tiny tangs pryed away and the pins slip right out of the white plastic.
