RealFlight, airplanes, club dues, AMA membership, and all other luxuries such as meals out, cable TV, cell phone, etc. would be nothing more than a future dream if I were in your position. My focus would be a decent job, affordable but reliable vehicle, decent place to live, insurance to cover my butt if something happens, money in the bank and so on.

Are you just trying to get people worked up here by making up some bogus story? (I am starting to believe this is the case) If so, you are succeeding. Or are you really just this mixed up? Either way it is sad.

I am going to be harsh this time... a 49 year old man should have this stuff figured out by now... period. I'm sorry but that's how it is. I've been in a few tough positions in my life and without exception the person to blame for it was always me in every case.

If you are for real and really in this predicament, sell your planes, work your a** off and get your priorities in order. The fun stuff will come in time.
