i do agree that some folks ,do try to sqeeze every last gram of thrust ,,now not all of us are into 3/d ,,,i am but even considering 3/d where i live ,,we suffer from altitude density , high elevation ,so i can ,kinda see searching for more power,,my cure was to get a larger simmilarly made engine and put my dl ,on a lighter plane ,then some of us are perpetual tinkerers,,and this may lead to some benifits down the line,as we know theres some that buy the engine and never mount it in a plane ,but they will run it and tinker,but apparently you live in low altitude to get such great thrust levels,but yes every field has the guys that set their needles once and go fly then there are those that seem to constantly buying something to get more power and just geek of the motor all day. i guess a little geekery is ok.
