I have to disagree on this one. I just weighed my DL stock muffler at 3.4 ounces. What's your header and pipe weigh? A pound at least? There's a big weight difference here.

Maybe you are refering to a Slimline wrap around which weighs about 11 ounces?
Yes, most people use a wraparound muffler and the pipe combo is only a few ounces heavier.
8.9 oz for the RE2 pipe, don't know the weight of the header. The Extra 300 weighs in at exactly 18lbs and 1oz. Most people's Extra weigh in between 17.5 and 18.5lbs.

And to answer your previous question, yes I'm gonna get the Edge w/ a DLE55, MTW header and pipe. Will put it together in Spain probably. Moving there end of November and EF is much later than expected with the release of this bird.

Surprised to see they have 5 fields in the Valencia area

I'm in the process of swapping my Brillelli 60 for a new DL-55 from TBM in my EF Yak. With the Brillelli, ES Composites pipe, alluminum header and two 2600Mah Li-Ions, AUW is 18lbs 8oz. The DL is 7oz lighter than the Brillelli and I am changing the fuel tank from a 20 to a 16oz for a total weight reduction of about 11oz. While I agree with Joe that the DL muffler is the lightest option at 3.4oz, my pipe/header combo weighs 10.4oz. I just love the growl and the extra power of the tuned pipe vs the pop-pop-pop sound of a muffler!
