I'm not sure what kind of flying you do, so I'm assuming you want a "jack of all trades" type of machine. Most typical sport planes would fare just fine. I have a Great Planes Extra 300SP with an OS 55AX engine. I haven't assembled it yet, but the design overall suits many purposes:
