Amp draw is based on the load placed on the motor, as long as we don't go totally wild with the prop the ESC should be fine. We ran it for a few minutes with the stock prop and no water cooling on the motor and the ESC was cold to the touch (it was water cooled) and the motor was only mildly warm (I'm guessing 80 degrees). If the 40mm prop turns out to be too much for the ESC to handle we can always upgrade to a better ESC later, I just had it laying around and didn't have a use for it so I gave it to him. I heard the stock prop was around 34-35mm in diameter, I'll be out at his place tonight and I can measure his prop then. The 40mm will definitely put more load on the motor, I may go with a 38 just to get a feel for what that ESC can handle.
