I guess you use goop or similar to glue the tires onto the rim.
i used a CA called 'Black Max' it's black and is made for bonding rubber materials to metal.

You're correct that the tires still depart the wheels...after 5 flights on the ''new and improved, guaranteed not to come off '' tires from Dreamworks, mine departed on takeoff last weekend. I'm going to drill/tap the wheels like BVM and if that doesn't work, I'm throwing the whole retract system in the trash.

it did tick me off when it caused the chrome to flake off my rims from landing on them but the damage is mostly cosmetic due to the low speed you can land the Flash at.
