Good choice. Much better than the Corsair you were looking at.

Don't get me wrong here. That Corsair is a nice plane, AND would be great after you get a little flight experience under your belt. If you wish, you could get one, put it together, then drool over it and use it as incentive to get up to speed, so to speak... Hey, we all did it.

I was in training and bought a Ripmax Rapier flying wing. As it turns out, it was a pretty high performer and not necessarily suited for a beginner, but I bought it and looked at the box for about a year before I put it together. And even then, I had my instructor maiden it for me. Good thing I did, too, because as I had it set up, well, it was quite radical. We tamed it down a LOT and I flew it after that. Nice flying plane by the way, but very VERY fast. In fact, we clocked it with a police RADARgun at 121.5 mph at full throttle, about 10 feet above the runway centerline!!!
