Hey there Wasp,

Keep in mind that while these engines all use the Sachs / Mahle pistons and cylinders, only the Taurus uses a Sachs crank. The FPE, Fox and Brison engines all used a cantilever crank arrangement with their own design crank, rod and crankcase. Using unique machined crankcases and in house designed cranks, all critical measurements could change quite a bit from an original Sachs engine. Yes even displacement and compression ratio could change a bit. I'm not saying this is a bad thing ..... just to expect slight differences from one make of engine to another even if they use the same piston / cylinder.
