I noticed in the picture the engine is stamped ''Made in USA''.
That's sadly a sure sign of the age of this engine.
I just bought a K&B .65 a few weeks ago, brand new in the box, at a hobby store, it's made in the USA also. I may be buying more K&B products now, it's hard to find things made in the US anymore.
as far as the engine goes, the "dime" looking thing on the side is the low speed mixture screw. it only move 1/8" either way from center. it controls an eccentric that regulates the venturi on the carb
