the one thing im seeing is the slash has its rear shock tower in front of the trans, where the stamp has it behind-
I noticed that too. My plan is to replace the slash tranny/shock tower with a nitro stampede/rustler tranny with corresponding shock tower. I will fabricate my rear chassis plate to match that of the rear chassis of the traxxas 1/10th scale nitro vehicles, most likely a very simple task.

I think it might be a rear half stamp front half slash with some fanagaling in between. I like the idea......
That's exactly what it will be when I'm finished.
I just need to find a damn slash roller.
