Well, I have one. It's on a working yard tool and if I butcher it my wife will hang me. But Iwas out there using it today and thought "Hey....Hmmmm...'. It does have an oil sump but it is just spash lubrication. The carb is mounted to the intake port just like the smaller counterparts. But, they get lube somehow.
Does anyone know
if the new Satos with spark ignition use mix gas?If so they must be getting lube just like the glow engines do. It would be interesting to try one of these 4 strokes on mix gas and drain the crankcase and see how long it lives. I do know if you turn it upside down, like to edge the drive, it turns into a "skeeter-chasser", caugh...caugh....wave.....
The Saitos run 20:1 oil in regular gasoline. Premix. Just like a glow engine.
