I would love to see a 35% or 40% pattern plane. I know that it wouldn't be legal for pattern or IMAC, but how cool would it be to see like a 126 inch x 126 inch 150CC Integral! I know it will never happen and it is probably a little off topic but I think that would be great
I've seen that Dr Jekyll about 10 years ago maybe- it was mammoth and perhaps ahead of it's time. Had retracts and I heard that Stricker flew it and thought it flew well. I have thought about, but have not yet, building a 2.6 meter/100+" pattern plane that would use an 80cc gas engine with a tuned pipe in the same way that we currently see the engine/pipe setup in today's 2 meter pattern planes. It would be for fun only- but I bet it would fly great! Combine the outstanding flight characteristics of a modern pattern plane with the benefits of larger models.
