I run it out of gas before I put more in.

It may very well need a new piston and sleve, although at the prices you can buy a new engine I may be better off just replacing it. The engine is VERY old. It runs strong though, and starts the first time in a few pulls or two bumps on the starter box. Just is a pain when its warm.
