Not sure if this should be here or in the engine forum but here goes.
I have a OS .12 engine in my rc10gt. When I first start it, it starts like a dream, runs great. The problem I have is on the second tank and so on. It seems to be hard to start. It seems to flood almost instantly. I do not think the mixture is too rich as it runs very well. Is there any tricks that I should be doing? I can get it started but it seems it should fire right up and it does not.

well.. is something blocking the oil from getting out?
Check your exhaust and make sure oil isnt stagnating anywhere because of a stinger extension your using or something like that.

My TRX Pro .15 in my RC10GT does the same thing. The Traxxas motors run a little hotter than normal and when it's hot and it dies, the metal carburetor boils (or pushes) the fuel back out of the fuel line. Once it cools, it starts fine. My LHS said that's pretty normal for full metal carb engines. More so for the Traxxas engines.

I run it out of gas before I put more in.
I will try all your suggestions.
It may very well need a new piston and sleve, although at the prices you can buy a new engine I may be better off just replacing it. The engine is VERY old. It runs strong though, and starts the first time in a few pulls or two bumps on the starter box. Just is a pain when its warm.
Thanks
