Good judgement call on your part. Maybe it would shed a little light on how quickly and uneventfull the fire was by adding that the Kingcat was out in front of us at show center and at about 150' of altitude, the engine seized and caught fire. I ran back to my trailer, unlocked it grabbed my fire extinguisher, ran back out to the flightline as the airplane was landing, BV hit the brakes and turned it in toward me. I shot the extinguisher directly into the inlet of the engine and the fire was out, all this took place over the course of about 30 seconds. Fact is there was fire fighting equipment close at hand, as well as people experienced enough to deal with it and react quickly. That in my opinion is worth publishing over the internet.
