Default Where did the King Cat thread Go?

Hello All

Ben, Gordon... Thank you for the explanation. I was just really wondering what happened. I did not receive any PM or anything as to what happened to the thread. I live in Hawaii so I must have just missed when it was closed.

Please do not take this as an attack for not PM'ing or emailing me with a explanation, I just really did not know what happened. I understand why you did it and I am in agreement, I thank you for the job you do it is not an easy one.

I would have not reposted my thread If I had knew what happened to the thread. I checked my email, and my PM's nothing so I thought I would just repost and ask?

I also think the incident could be used to show even after an incident that our equipment and procedures are safe and it was really a non event.

Sorry about the repost, I hope I did not stir any more trouble into the pot.

Default P-160

OK we have the fix for this potential problem, it affects a limited number of P-160s. All affected owners and dealers were contacted today regarding the details.

The motors will be fixed under warranty, two way shipping included.

Sorry for the brief message I am on a sporadic Sprint PCS connection in the truck, we are heading for the Sierras to pan for gold !!!!

Happy 4th everybody!

Yup - my engine is one of the affected ones, and Bob contacted me early today to arrange for it's return. If I heard it correctly (?), there were only 7 engines affected in total. With odds like that, I guess I just got lucky !

Hey Matt -- the phone line was a little fuzzy at one point ... did I hear correctly ? I'm getting a free P70 for the inconvenience ?

BTW, I know that the fix involves replacing a PCB inside the engine, but are you able to explain at all what the actual problem was ? Just nosy, and wanting to understand a bit more about how these engines work.

Later,
Gordon

BTW - I just heard that I got the number wrong. I heard the figure of 7 from my wife who told me that "Bob Fillbox" left a voicemail on our answering machine about the recall. Given the poor quality of our recorder and the mangling of Bob's surname, that's why I placed a question mark on the figure above. Just goes to show how easily the info gets corrupted even when you are trying to be careful ! Appolgies for any unintentional misinformation.

Default Lucky 7

Gordon,
I was one of the lucky ones also and I thought the free P70 was a nice gesture on Bob's part.

Gordon,

I think the words he said were probably NGV and not PCB.

Does anyone know where the King Cat is being manufactured? I've heard it was in Eastern Europe, then Southeast Asia, then Southeast USA. Anybody know the truth? Any BVM guys?

How about if you call 407-327-6333 and ask the man himself.

Well,

I thought that's what this forum was for, getting info from people in the know, without having to call long-distance...

Ghostrider,

Thanks for the "help".......

If you want to find out the truth let your fingers do the work for you. You can only get the truth from the "horses mouth"

BTW, do not forget to let us know of your finding. (lol)
