Getting on well with the build. I have a part not on the parts list. It is a small fin (shaped like the tail fin) about four inches by two inches. It looks like some kind of ventral fin, but have no idea where it goes. Any ideas?
Edit :- Looking again at the parts list, it mentions a UHF antenna. Perhaps this is what it is? I don't see it in anyones Viper photos.
The small fin is an alternate vertical stablilizer in case the big one is too large for your trailer.....just kidding.
As you guessed, it's a scale antenna. It goes on the bottom, centered and more or less in line with the intakes. You don't see it often in pictures since it usually must be removed for transport. Some of us attach it with a couple of vertical pins and magnets to make it easily removable.
