If I were you I would also go 50cc. Think about it, if you get a 30cc, a couple months later you might want to go bigger. So why not just make the jump. I too have the same problem with transport, thats why Im sticking to small profiles right now. You should get one too, you wont be disappointed. Especially if you want to learn 3D. I guarantee you it will be alot easier and safer on the plane to get a profile to learn 3D. I thought when I was getting the Aeroworks Edge 540 I would be able to learn 3D, but that plane is just not suited for it, not light enough.
Also to get back on subject, I too really like the Pilot RC planes. For the price and what you get its hard to beat. And as from this video these planes are very very capable at all types of flying. [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4eSjKB7H2w[/link]
