RE: Pilot RC Extra - DLE 30?
I have greatly improved my 3D skills. When I first started off trying to learn 3D I started on the simulator. I thought i would never be able to hover since I couldnt hold the plane steady. I didnt like the sim too much so I got a profile and started from there. At first I couldnt hover at all. Then I learned how to control the plane and keep it in a steady hovered position, way up high. Then I slowly got better and also slowly got lower to the ground. The learning curve is sooooo much better on a profile than on a full scale plane. With a full scale u usually dont have the same weight to power ratio and larger wing area than with a profile. And those are major things needed to be successful at 3D unless you are a pro then you can hover anything. I use cheap standard Hitec servos, $8.99 each from towerhobbies. But its important to use a 6v battery with them. The servos just arent fast enough on 4.8v but are plenty fast with a 6v. They work just fine.
