I think we seem to forget that all we really need to have in order to have fun battling tanks is two tanks. IR sensors not really needed when you still have a child's imagination.

I believe these tanks only comes in two frequencies, 26.995, and 27.095. I don't know what kind of crystals Hobby Engine is using on their tanks though.
