I also have a door slab that I have put cello-tex over so I can pin on it. but my favorite one for covering is my Ironing Board. I can walk around it, work from the ends. My wife helps me (I probably help her) with the covering. She operates the heat gun while I do the pulling around the wing tips. I put an old towel over the ironing board pad and it gives me a nice cushion so I don't damage the side that I have already covered. It is also at a great height (adjustable) to be comfortable. Try it, you'll like it. Hummmm!!! sounds like a comerical in there somewhere.
