Except for the terminology in step 5 (below). You remove the bind plug from the receiver. NOT the bind button.
This had me totally freaked out when I first started with my DX7.

5. Remove the bind button and store it in a convenient place.

Not to mention, the manual does not specify turning anything off, let alone in what order.
