Default RE: 6th plane, First EDF...Help deciding

A 70mm F4 is going to be a much better first EDF versus the F-16.

The wheel stance is wider, the plane has better stall and landing characteristics, etc.

The larger diameter also means a larger easier to deal with plane.

Be prepared to do the following:

- Get at least one or two other higher capacity battery packs.

- Break in, balance and check out the EDF motor and blades.

- Bench test it for flight times.

EDF's do not have air being moved by the motor over their control surfaces, so you need to come in hotter and let the plane come up to appreciable speed before taking off. They also get mushy or uncontrollable if you let them stall.

The F-4 is least prone to this.

I find that these planes fly best when you use a transmitter with Exponential, so I usually use my own Transmitter and Receivers even with the RTF versions.
