I have a v-spec what kind of temperature drop are we dealing with? what is your lsn setting? Does it only die when you try and go wide open from idle? Do you have an external fuel filter? Is it clean? It is very possible that the low speed needle is set to lean for the cooler weather and your engine isnt getting enough fuel at idle so when you slam the carb open its getting too much oxygen and not enough fuel to keep running.
