Well I pulled the tank and the mystery is
solved. I run a piece of fuel tubing then
a short piece of brass tubing and then a short
piece of fuel tubing connected to the clunk.

The clunk and fuel tubing and short piece of
brass tubing seperated from the first piece of
fuel tubing. One piece of fuel tubing connected
to the clunk will be installed tomorrow.

BTW, there was a 1/4 tank of fuel in her when I
pulled the tank.
