WOW - MATTLAS 40!!!!

This is a kit that my Dad and I bought from Indy R/C in ~1980 and flew until batteries caused its demise in 1998. This was built with an OS Max 40 and fixed gear. It was the fastest thing around and extremely stable. We also flew a Dirty Birdy 40 at the same time frame and I really felt that this plane flew and "grooved" better. Of course I am talking about sport flying - we never entered any pattern contests. Currently, we are scratch building another one from the original plans and we will put Robart retracts in it. We will also power it with an OS Max 46 AX / 2.4 receiver and digital servos!!
