I was going to say generic polyurethane, but Glenn beat me to it.

And if you use a polyurethane clear as a final coat almost any paint can be used underneath.

The auto parts store has Duplicolor, the Rustoleum and Krylon brands can be found almost anywhere. If you're lucky you can even find the polyurethane top coat in spray cans.

Further, if you can hold the nitro content down in your fuel, both Rustoleum and Krylon (in most colors- test first) are fuel resistant after a week's cure.
