I bought the EXI 250 from Xheli.com. The kits are built with torx screws. Very small, very dumb idea. I did get the new Align tail boom holder and it does fit directly in the frame. As of now those were the only screws that were giving me a problem. I would like to find some screws for the horizontal fin and tail assembly but that'll be later on down the road. I'm so upset about this buy that I dont even wanna think about what it needs. Because it was a cheap build and the tail didn't hold at all, even with the screws as tight as I could get them, I broke the boom, bent the main shaft, feathering shaft and it could use a new belt. The stock EXI belt is right crappy and is already fraying. Looking at $20 in parts if I go EXI and xheli.com. Or $35-40 with Align stuff from HeliDirect.com. We'll see what the future holds.
My buddy got the same kit. He thought he saved also, until he realized what needed replaced and fixxed to make it fly like my other buddy's T-250. He sold it, and just got what he should have from the beginning, and that is a Align Trex 250. You can't polish a turd !
