Very simple fix, make yourself a partition wall out of ply and cover with aluminum tape, or just use thin sheet metal

Dom used thin sheet metal to make protective covers for his servos...

I would move it a bit forward and over and do what rich says... It will be more in front of the motor. I ran my wren two seasons in a similar setup.. but it was near the intake, not the exhaust.. IF its in the airflow you are ok.
