Tiger's were not part of the DAK and they did not have the palm.

The PZIVs in the 5th and 8th Panzer Regiments were assigned to the 4th Company in the 1st battalions and 8 Kp. in the II Abt. As such you will almost always see them with turret numbers beginning with 4 and 8. DAK tanks could have had the Palm on all 4 sides of the tank as you'll see in the Afrika Korps website. The first F2s or Specials as the Brits termed them arrived in Nord Afrika in mid-'42 if memory serves.
