Hi Hangarman. As the door fixing point will be at about one inch further down the door, a new ram fixing point will be fitted. It will be fixed with small screws & nuts plus hysol. In flight the gear doors do not flex, they just hang fully open. The existing gear door cylinder postion when the door is closed is useless & provides little or no closing effect. the fact that the existing door fixing point is virtually on the hinge line, gives little leverage even if the cylinder was positioned better.
