DGUY: I live on the West Coast in Oregon so cannot be of much help when you have time at home, but I can help you build from a distance if that would work for you. Going to www.towerhobbies.com you can purchase a kit that is available and have all the pieces needed to build the plane. Not sure if you have a local hobby shop where you live where a few needed items could be purchased.

I am a retired aircraft mechanic from Horizon Airlines in Portland, Oregon who has been in the modeling hobby for a long time. With 15 years of stockpiling kits and engines( I am still buying more engines and planes), I have plenty of choices to choose from. Just purchased an ARF( kit not available) of the F-22 Raptor Fighter aircraft, and assembly is progressing. Several problems had to be solved in the assembly, but with a lot of spare parts, the problems were delt with.
