You might try posting your question in the r/c scale section or the warbird section of these forums. As I recall the Bridi F7F was sized for .40-.60's engines. They were good flyers but care was needed when building because they tended to be heavy, usually towards the tail. For sport flying I would lean towards fixed landing gear and .30-40 engines to keep the wing loading as light as possible. If you want a scale model then I would be really mindfull of the weight as there isnt much wing area on this model.
