Grubster1....your temp gun is similiar to mine. You need to bring it close to the top of the head, so the laser feature can't be used. Basically, move the flat end of the gun around the top of the head...about 1/2 inch away....and look for the highest temp. That will occur when the sensing element in the gun is centered over the glowplug.
