Default RE: Question about ESC/Motor Temperature

Thank you, Freequensee.

I have installed a small heatsink +fan, taken down from an old video card, on top of the ESC (yes, TEU-101BK it is). Also, I have installed a desktop case fan on the transponder mount blowing right at both the ESC and the motor. Essentially, the ESC has gotten a heatsink and dual fans.

I believe you are right that it will only be a matter of time before the ESC dies, but this is the idea. Iwould like to max out what Ihave now before Ihave to replace it.

Idid a test run last night with the settings above-mentioned deployed, and the results are quite satisfying. The whole time the throttle was from 1/2 ~ 3/4 all the way for 20 minutes non-stop, at the end of the test, the temperature of the ESC measured at about 45 celsius degree, which is on par with the motor. This seems a big improvement, for now.
