RE: World Models Fun Fly 3D 1.20
I used JR 821s on most of the surfaces, with a 4721 on the rudder. I really like the 821s for glow planes. I've been buying them up off RCG at about $20 each, sometimes less. While the control surfaces are large, they're split up with four servos on the wing and three on the tail. I figure between that and the slower speeds I'm not pushing the 821s too much. I do need to re-think my receiver battery. I went with a 6v, 2,000mah NiMH pack. I'm a bit concerned that the 8 servos will draw that down faster than I'd like, so I'm thinking of going with two $15 Lipos from Hobby City. I probably don't need to do that. I have a feeling my pull-pull lines are too tight, and that my rudder servo is drawing more juice than it should. If I get around to putting a good, adjustable pull-pull into it this winter that might resolve my concerns.
I was a little leery of the wing attachment, but it's working fine for me. I'd suggest having a good look at the glue joints you can reach in the fuse. A few of mine needed some extra attention.
