That's true you are totaly right
The question was: "I've never understood why the Giles never made more of an impact in IMAC."
I think it did albeit a while back non the less the Giles is a good Aerobatic mount and with Wildhare taming the other tendencies it's now a good 3D mount. I only mention the MX2 in the same sentence with the WH Giles because the both 50cc planes share the same fuselage (two different wing tube mounts upper or lower on the MX2) with different wings.
I've flown the bigger MX2 (that never made it to production) with both wings (Giles wings and MX wings) We flew the Giles with MX wings and on the upper and lower tubes to good affect.

I think Tom has perfected the design so no one need fear any "Old Wives Tales" about snapping or poor low speed performance.

The green wings are MX2 wings from the original proto type with a new fuse that Tom had built and the white wings are Giles wings that Tom had built as spares for the proto type 40% Giles that we installed on the MX2 after we have small failure in the MX wings.
