from what I am seeing in the photo's I'd bet that the EZ connector is the problem, also the horn is too close to the hingeline. I have a similar set up on 2 gliders, and on both I have a 2-56 ball bolted to a shorter horn and as da Rock has shown, the bolt position is square the the hingeline as shown in the lower diagram he posted. DONT use the cheap nylon ball cap type, use the black link with the brass ball.
