Default RE: Goldberg Extra 300

Starting to think about the Extra again.

I am amazed at the way Lanier cut my kit. Grey Beard told me the ribs used by Goldberg are 5/32 inch thick. Mine were 1/16th inch balsa. The airfoil of each rib was inconsisant and the ribs don't even approach matching the plans. I honestly wonder if I have ribs from 3 seperate kits in my box.

Anyhow, with the use of a wing jig, and cuting templates for ribs that hold a consistant airfoil from center to wingtip, I will eventually have a good wing.

The ply looks as if it were ripped by hand. They weren't die-cut or lazer cut. They used a really sad and VERY dull something to get me what I have. The parts to the fuse need to be re-cut measured up to the plans so everything will even fit.

I guess this is turning into a "Scratch Build" project.

I used the GP wing jig for an UltraSport wing in my downtime recently, and I have found it works VERY well.

My build has turned into a soap opera for sure!

My question:

Should I start a different thread to fix my wing, and then finish everything up here?
