RE: Goldberg Extra 300
I had no complaints wth my kit. It came with nice fiberglass parts and the wood was all die cut (not laser) but they fit very good. I thought the wood quality was good also, but I've only built two RC planes. I've built about a dozen or so contol line planes all SIG but I don't think it's as critical to build the control line planes as accurately as a plane that flies free, so I wasn't as picky when I built those. This was my first Goldberg. I liked it equally as well as the SIGs. A comment I have though is this. It seems to me that many people today want the parts to fit dead nuts perfect out of the box. To me some of the challenge is working with the parts to get the desired outcome that you want. That's where your creativity and imagination comes in. That's half the fun IMO.
The only complaint I have with any kit is the cheap hardware that they put in the box. I'd just rather they left it all out and charged less. I pitch most of it.
