I hear ya buddy.

Without the track record, and the previous involvement provided by CH in the development of the RC Exl chip, it's definately not the same thing. As you know, my concerns are never focused on initial fuctionality. Even some of the worst made items of any kind can work initially. it's how long the fuction, and function correctly, that gets my focus.

There does seem to have been a rash of semi functional ignitioons that have cropped up lately, which has had me wondering about the reasons. Up until fairly recently ypu could pretty much count the number of new ignitions from the established makers that had failure issues out of the box on both hands. Oh, I forgot about one manufacturer so I have to modify that last statement a little.... So with the exception of XX, the number of out of the box ignition failures had been extremely limited...
