The ignition on your engine is introduced in 2006, and is the latest. It takes 2 lipo without regulator, and power demand is about the same as your RC-gear. Not quite as low as RCexcl, but close. LiPo is the best choice. You also can take 6 cells Nicad.
The engine number is on the mounting flanges. in 1999, MVVS started numbering all over with "A", so B is 2000, and C is 2001.
